New York City has Mandated Continuing Education for all Electrical License Holders; this includes ACTIVE AND/OR SHELVED.
You will be required to present your Electrical License and your Driver’s License.
SWIS CODE CLUB – Six classes in 2019 (3 hours each) will cover: Services; Grounding and Bonding; Calculations; Wiring Methods of Chapter 3; Chapter 4 Equipment; Chapter 5 Special Occupancies; Chapter 6 Special Equipment; Chapter 7 Special Conditions, Chapter 8 Communications.Our instructors will take you through the code with the use of IAEI, Mike Holt and job photos in a PowerPoint presentation. Our students will receive specific training in the use of the NEC. This is for students who want to further their understanding of the National Electrical Code. How many times do we think “I remember him saying that but where in the code is it?”
Class meets from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm on the following Tuesdays: January 29, March 26, April 30, June 25, September 24 and October 29, 2019.

CEU’s for other municipalities will be offered at the conclusion of the Connecticut CEU class – click SHOW DETAILS below for registration instructions.Fulfill your required four hour CEU’s to renew your Connecticut E1 and/or E2 Electrical License.Registrants are required to bring a calculator and 2017 Code Book to class. NOTE: An electronic version of the 2017 Code Book is acceptable provided it is viewed on an iPad, notebook or laptop only. Cell phone viewing is not an acceptable device.
All License Holders must show required MANDATORY IDENTIFICATION:
ALL ACTIVE license holders will have to show their current license and another ID.
ALL SHELVED license holders will have to show two ID’s – one will have to be a photo ID.
Anyone not providing the mandatory identification documents will not be permitted to attend the class.
Be prepared to take your Journeyman Test! Putnam County now requires that anyone applying for a Master Electricians license must first pass a Journeyman’s Test. All helpers looking to become a Journeyman, after five years, are required to test.
This 8 week course will prepare you for your Putnam County Journeyman Test. This course requires 3 hours a week of classroom instruction as well as homework. Students must have the required work experience in order to take the exam. You must apply to The Putnam County Licensing Board to take the exam.
Be prepared to take your Master Electricians Test! This is a 12 Week college level course that will prepare you for your Master Electricians Exam in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange Counties and Connecticut. This course requires 12 to 15 hours of homework and 3 to 6 hours a week of classroom instruction. Students must have the required 7½ years work experience in order to take the exam. You must apply to The Westchester County Licensing Board to take the Westchester County exam.
